2009 Modpalooza (38 Photos)

Modpalooza is a special event for UMP Modifieds held annually at Hartford (MI) Motor Speedway. The 2009 edition of this race was presented by Dart Heads and K&N Filters, who contributed cash and prizes to make this event one of the highest paying in the upper Midwest. Lowell, MI driver, Mark Anderson, topped a stellar field to grab the winner's check along with a product certificate from Dart.

2009 Motor State Pro-Touring Challenge (92 Photos)

Over 50 pro-touring/G-machine vehicles from 15 different states arrived Friday, June 19th. Activities included Friday: pizza luncheon, facility tours and the cruise-in; Saturday: Gingerman Raceway road course track; Sunday: Lake Michigan College autocross by local SCCA group. 2009 Open Header Cruise (70 Photos)

Nearly sixty hot rodders uncapped their headers to take part in the 3rd Annual Open Header Cruise. With the blessing of the Watervliet City Council and Police Department, the cruise traveled the three mile route to Lane Automotive.

Perfect weather made for one of our best car shows ever! Over 1,400 cars, a new record, came out this year to thrill a huge crowd of spectators estimated at over 14,000.

2009 Hot Rodders Of Tomorrow Engine Challenge (67 Photos)

Teams, made up of five students, enter into head-to-head competition to disassemble and reassemble fully dressed out Chevy 350 cubic inch V8 engines in the least amount of time. Young engine builders from two Michiana area vocational-technical centers topped a field of eight teams to take top honors.
