Sales Order Entry Associate

Location: 8300 Lane Drive, Watervliet
Position Type: Full-Time
Hourly/Salary: Hourly - Competitive pay based on experience

Summary:
This position is responsible for engaging in and managing the data entry duties for customer orders. This will include, but is not limited to, orders received via fax, e-mail, Price Guide Pro and various other electronic means.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and interact daily with customers and vendors to successfully represent and sell high performance and racing products and services associated with Lane Automotive, Inc. via telephone, fax, e-mail and face to face environments.
  • Enter customer orders while maintaining gross profit margin standards set by the company.
  • Assist in product selection with the customer's input.
  • Assist customers with satisfaction issues as required.
  • Assign authorizations for the return of merchandise following established company policies and procedures.
  • Keep abreast of market trends (new products, pricing, etc.) and relay pertinent information to appropriate personnel or departments.
  • Assist with the establishment of professional business relationships with assigned customers.
  • Participate in seminars and other training as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Skills:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Computer literate with the ability to learn the company's operating systems quickly. Preferred experience with company's operating systems (both Trend and IRMS). Preferred post-secondary education in Business, Sales and/or Marketing, as well as first-hand experience in racing and/or the performance aftermarket. Must be comfortable conversing with customers on the phone on a regular basis.

Physical Demands:

The employee is frequently required to reach with arms and hands, stand, twist, bend, walk and sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
